Since people began releasing WordPress themes with options screens the bar has been raised higher and higher, with more and more options available making it easier for the user to customize their site. I have worked with many of these themes, and have been impressed with the quality. In particular, the themes from iThemes and StudioPress are great to work with and I regularly recommend them as being well worth the purchase price.

It’s been a LONG time since I released a free WordPress theme. Finally, I have a new one out, released in partnership with Performancing called “Treasure”. You won’t find lots of bells a whistles in the theme- it’s simple and clean, with beautiful color and typography, focusing on the content. You won’t see tags in [...]

I’ve been extremely busy for the last several months, working on many blog headers and custom themes. I haven’t had time to update my portfolio, but I thought I’d show off several of the sites I’ve worked on, and encourage you to pay them a visit – they’re all very interesting sites.

Today I am releasing my second theme for Wordpress called “Bluebird”. It’s a blue and brown, three column theme designed for at least 1024×768 resolution. My first theme, Round and Round, has almost 500 downloads, which is a respectable number I guess, but I’m hoping I can beat that with this latest theme. [...]

(Are you tired of hearing about this theme yet?) Well, it’s been released, and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens! I ended up changing it to display best on 1024×768 and put instructions in the Stylesheet for an easy switch to 800×600 in case there were those who would need that based on [...]

Phil Nash is a genius. His trick for making backgrounds transparent while still allowing the other items stacked on top in the div to keep their opacity put the icing on the cake in my first theme for WordPress. Here’s the code
I originally had it in a class, and that didn’t work in [...]
