There are some great premium theme sites out here and it never occurred to me to start my own until I began to notice how few of the themes looked like they were designed for “girly” sites. Since people began releasing WordPress themes with options screens the bar has been raised higher and higher, with more and more options available making it easier for the user to customize their site. I have worked with many of these themes, and have been impressed with the quality. In particular, the themes from iThemes and StudioPress are great to work with and I regularly recommend them as being well worth the purchase price.
It’s been a LONG time since I released a free WordPress theme. Finally, I have a new one out, released in partnership with Performancing called “Treasure”.
