There are many sources for stock photography and vector images, and I’m always up for trying a new one. Recently Fotolia contacted me, and asked if I wanted to try out their service and pass along my thoughts to you*. I’ve used Fotolia for over a week now, and I must say, I am surprised! I have used iStockPhoto for years and have enjoyed their selection and low prices, but the selection of images at Fotolia seems to be similar and their credits are cheaper! You get 25 credits for $30 ($1.20/credit) vs. 26 credits for $39.50 ($1.52 /credit) at iStockPhoto.
Remember, adding professional images to your blog posts can make a huge difference in how your site is perceived, and when you can get them so cheaply, why not?
Win a trial subscription
Would YOU like to try out Fotolia? I have 3 coupon codes for a 2 week trial subscription to give away! The winners will be able to download 3 images a day during the 14 day trial.
To enter: simply leave a comment in the area below. I will choose 3 winners randomly on Monday, August 8th at 9pm central time. Good luck!
*while Fotolia did give me a free month’s subscription, I was under no obligation to review their service positively.

Glad to see you blogging again, Randa!
Thank you for your shared infomation.
I love fotolia! Even photoshop guru Deke Mcclelland uses there images for his training. In his old podcast The Martini Hour he interviewed the CEO of Fotolia, it was pretty interesting.
Thanks for sharing that, professional images make a difference.
While I have used Fotalia in the past, it has been a long time. I would love to give them another try!
A picture speaks a thousand words + more! Lovely pic in here by the way. Fotalia rocks!
I would love to try Fotalia out, especially if they are a little bit cheaper than the other guys.
Very nice of you to give away these trial codes, I would like to try one out!(just like the rest)
You might also want to check out our agency. Prices starting at $9.00 and we pay our photographers up to 50% on every sale.
Cheaper alternatives to istock is always positive. Is it already 9pm in your region?
I used istock and then I found a free one, not very good for template images but great for real live photos that contributors submitted.
I agreed fotolia is one of the best source of photography that is better than istock. Its less and affordable. Thank you for sharing by the way you have a nice blog… with freebies coupon..
