Eve of HomeBizBlogger added me to the D-list of those who have installed the “Do Follow” plugin. This is another opportunity to share the link-love. Obviously there are now a zillion people I could add to this list because of the great response that’s still pouring in from yesterday’s post, but I’ll just keep it to two- a couple of blogs that are new to me. I purposely didn’t include anyone on the list I published yesterday. If you’re on the list and don’t already have a badge for your sidebar, you can grab one here. So, Chris and Chris, should you choose to participate (you’ve both just written posts about this, so if you don’t choose to, I understand):
***Begin to copy here***
1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.
2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.
3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals” list.
4. Add at least 1 new blog that you KNOW us using the DO FOLLOW plugin to the list in the “My Adds” section. (Add no more than 5!) Let the people you’ve added know, so that they can keep the list going!
5. Leave relevant comments on the blogs listed and get a link back to your site thanks to Do Follow!

We’re removing rel=”no follow” tag from our comment links. Link generously.
……
The no follow me never made any sense to us. If you contribute to our content by commenting then why wouldn’t we share the link love.
Rinsem’s Rink Follows!
Thanks for keeping the list going!
I don’t know what to think about the no follow thing. I don’t have user submitted content on my site but I agree with GrokDotCom above. But making a list seems like it’s telling spammers, hey, target these sites. The backlinks are nice and all and a rising sea will lift all the ships, but spam has to increase, no?
I really have not seen an increase in spam, or if I have, Akismet catches it so well that I haven’t noticed. I don’t know what others have experienced.
Hi Randa,
Will you take a look at my blog and let me know if I did the follow thingy correctly?
Thanks!
BTW, I can’t remember if I told you this or not but you do really good work graphics-wise.
Keep up the good work,
Angela

Our post is up and we are in the process of pinging and commenting to all on the list!
I am gonna put the list up and comment on all the sites and give LURVE!!
I posted the do follow list a few weeks ago and noticed there are a lot more people that follow than I originally thought. Plus it’s still growing. I just posted about it again on my latest post. I think I’m going to try to revisit the topic of “do follow” and repost the list maybe as often as once a month so we can continue to add the new folks.
I also just implemented Do Follow on my blog. I tried to comment on all the blogs that are on my D-List but it’s a lot of work!!

Nice list, it’s a really good reference.
I really love the I Follow badges you made! They look great and I grabbed one for my site.
Excellent. I grabbed the CSS version of the badge and tweaked a few colors – it’s great!
Wonderful blog too by the way…

Does your technorati authority only register blog reactions from dofollow blogs, or the nofollows up your authority as well?
@mlankton – do follow has nothing to do with Technorati, only search engines like Google. Technorati just counts links.
The good thing with dofollow links as oppose to nofollow, is that it can actual help a websites listings, Google will spider the site and realise that the content update, the more comments the updates which for your site as a whole is a very good way to encourage user generated content, the phenomenon of nofollow has been taken to strongly, people even try getting reciprocal links add a no follow to it, very sneaky. If your using wordpress make sure you install Askimet, this plugin will eliminate much of the spam from automated blogging programs, also look out for the occasional “I found your post very interesting and have similar views myself”, spammers are getting smarter so my thoughts are keep dofollow’s it can only do your site good, so giving a link away is your way of saying thanks for the free content.
been rooting around on your site for the last little while and am green with envy that your do follow works (even though you’re getting all this spam – sorry about that). i’ve been trying to use three do follow plugins so far, with no avail. whine, whine, whine. i guess i’ll have to make that a #1 priority next year – and then i’ll be in great company like yours!
Do follow can be a damned if you do, damned if you dont. Everyone likes people commenting on the articles they write. One way to get new comments is using the do follow. However with that comes the SPAM. I guess if moderated properly, then spam can be controlled to some level. I say its good because comments encourage discussion and in turn this can increase the popularity of your blog. So thumbs up for do-follow
