A podcast interview with a sassy web puritan
Published August 23rd, 2007 in Blogging.
When SheUnlimited contacted me recently about doing a podcast interview, my first response was “Me…? Really? Are you sure you don’t have me confused with someone else?” I was happy to do it though, and even though I apparently have a slightly Texan accent that I was unaware of, it turned out all right. They have over 300,000 podcast subscribers, so the interview was certainly an opportunity to connect with a completely different set of readers/listeners.
The site takes a rather light-hearted approach to things, and even calls their podcasts “She-Pods”! The intro they wrote is rather amusing. I apparently am a “web puritan” (do you think they meant “purist”?) and a “sassy woman”. Anyway, you can check out the interview here.

congrats randa!!
Hi Randa, just had a listen great stuff - were you nervous?
I did a radio interview once and was terrified beforehand. Its nice to put a voice to the face and blog too…mmm.. I feel a new meme the voice behind the blog
Great idea! Actually, I think it’s really cool to be able to hear what people sound like. I wasn’t really nervous, just felt a bit like a job interview, but I sure didn’t want to come off sounding lame.
That’s awesome Randa, love the picture too! It’s always neat when people recognize talent, and they’ve obviously found that in you. You should be proud!
Hi Randa, Congrats for a job well done. I’m checkin the interview now. Cheers!
The interview was so much fun to listen to! It was interesting to hear your thoughts on web design, word press, and blogging.
Excellent Randa!
I’ll have a listen this weekend. Congratulations.
Congrats, Randa - excellent interview. Did you get some of the questions ahead of time or was it a complete impromptu interview? Some really good questions there, straight to the point and great detailed and helpful answers from you. Thumbs Up!
Thanks everyone! Vivien- I didn’t get the questions up front, but I listened to a couple of other interviews so I would have an idea of what he might ask.
Hello, very nice site, keep up good job!
Admin good, very good.
