We drove down to Kentucky for Thanksgiving with Mark’s family. The weather was great and it was good to spend time with Mark’s extended family. Mark’s cousin has a 5 year old son, who is a sweet boy, but wasn’t sure whether he liked another little boy usurping his spot as the center of attention. Jack had to learn again the lesson that not everyone wants a hug.
Tis’ the season for expressing thanks, and I have a long list of things to be thankful to God for. A few that stand out:

  • for the peace that comes with the gift of faith in a sovereign, holy God.
  • for my parents, who continue in their unfailing love and support during this time of seemingly endless limbo we are in. They are wonderful and God has truly blessed us through them.
  • for a sweet husband and son who bring joy, fun and laughter to my life.

I got some nice pictures of the pair of swans that live in the pond behind Mark’s parents’ house. They thought I might have some food for them, and came right out of the pond, only to be disappointed. Click here to see a few more pictures of them.
