Take a look

Our pastor at New Hope Bible Church, Jon Trainer, is also a photographer specializing in barns and old stuff in general. I’ve just looked through all his photos on Flickr, and they are really stunning. Click here check them out. I’ve become more and more interested in photography over the past year or so. Taking pictures of Jack got me started, but pictures like Jon’s inspire me to branch out a little, while I continue to battle the sin of covetousness – I would love to get a digital SLR, but they’re so stinkin’ expensive! That’s on my Christmas list, if anyone is feeling generous!

The Nikon D70, excellent choice. That was one of the two Brian Oates recommended to me when the D70 first came out. His other recommendation was the Digital Rebel and it came out about 100 cheaper so I went with it. I’ve been pleased with the camera itself. However, I’m disappointed though that I don’t have time to use/play with it like it deserves especially for the price. (I get a little buyers remorse on it occasionally when I see my wife always whipping out her non-digital camera and getting great pictures as well with it at a cheaper price.)
