The weather here in Pleasanton, Texas has been warm and humid for the most part, but yesterday we got a break and had only 70 degrees for a high temperature.  Quite a contrast to the snow flurries they’ve been having in Ohio.  I know most people would think that being in the warm weather in mid-October would be really nice, but I prefer the snow flurries! ...

I wasn’t able to nurse Jack because my milk never came in, but I hear that it’s difficult to keep track of which side you nursed on last and how long the baby nursed.  I ran across Milkbands yesterday while browsing around and thought it looked like a great idea.  Really affordable too!

Jack and I made it to Texas just fine. He slept the whole first flight, which was really nice.  We made the connection in plenty of time and though there was a little screaming on the second flight, it wasn’t too bad since we were sitting on the engines at the back of the plane so it was difficult to even hear ourselves think. I couldn’t wait for Fall to get here, just so I could take pictures of Jack in a pile of leaves! Today Jack started saying “Laura” (RaRa).  She is the first person he has called by name- everyone else so far is “Dada”.  I’m not surprised she’s first- he lights up when he sees her; he has a special smile for Aunt Laura. ...
