A geek like me

Jack’s new favorite toy is an old computer keyboard. I think he sees me typing so much he really enjoys having one to bang on too. I ran across an interesting thing the other day – computer games for babies. As they touch any key on the keyboard different things happen on the screen. They have toddler and preschool games too.

Jack has a couple of words now! I guess now that he’s basically finished learning to walk, his brain can concentrate on learning other things. His official first word was “baby” and he points to babies/kids as he says it. He says dada, and knows who that is, though sometimes Grandpa is dada too. He says kitty-cat… sort of. He will pat his head when you say “where’s Jack?”, and sometimes he says “Gack” as he’s doing it. I’m excited about him learning to communicate and can’t wait to hear all the funny things he’ll say!
