Jack @ 5 Years, 1 Month

I let Jack wash a bunch of plastic cups and plates the other day, and he had the best time. He declared, “Mommy, you won’t ever have to wash dishes again. I’m going to do it for you from now on!”  I just wanted to record that statement for him to read when he’s 14…

He’s discovered that showers are more fun than baths and feels like a big boy washing his own hair. He’s still enjoying schoolwork, but really dislikes working on handwriting. I’ve found that he enjoys writing little letters to people, and doesn’t find practicing handwriting nearly as onerous if he gets to put it in an envelope and mail it to someone when he’s finished. Anyone want a letter from Jack?  🙂
