Jack @ 4 Years, 10 Months Old
Jun 01
Jack is excited that it’s getting hot since that means he can swim! Jack loves to be out with Daddy doing yard work, and gets out his little lawn mower and weed eater so he can “help”. So cute to watch him marching across the lawn with his little mower.
He finished up his co-op class this month and was sorry that it was over. We went to a Renaissance Fair early in May and had a great time. Jack’s been interested in swords and weapons in general lately so it was right up his alley. He especially enjoyed the jousting tournament! He went in to the Dungeon haunted house against my advice and learned that maybe Mommy knows best sometimes.
We’ve been working with Jack on participating in prayer each night during Bible time, but it’s been a bit like pulling teeth. Finally, he’s gotten to where he can voice a prayer for something he’s thankful for or something he’s asking forgiveness for. One night recently, his prayer was “Thank You for electricity and um…. marshmallows. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” I tried SO HARD not to laugh at the random combination, but it struck my funny bone and I just couldn’t help it. I told him his prayer was so good, it just made me so happy, I had to laugh!
What a cute prayer, Karter still comes up with some random things he prays for and is thankful for!
