Survival Tips for 1000 AD

I have enjoyed reading a couple of blog discussions today about how one would survive in the case of being suddenly transported back to 1000 AD.  Check them out here and here.  My favorite suggestion so far is that you set up a business, assuming you survive for any period of time, selling boiled water to midwives, apothecaries, etc. promising it will cause fewer of their patients to die.
