Jack @ 19 Months
Feb 17
Jack’s language has exploded over the past month. He’s always been very verbal, but now we can often understand what he’s saying. At his 18 month appointment, he was in the 95th percentile for height- he’s even tall enough to climb the stairs without using his hands. He likes movies on his DVD player above all things, and sometimes “boovie” is the first word out of his mouth in the morning. He knows what lots of animals say and where most of his body parts are. He’s rediscovered the game of Peek-A-Boo. Somehow it’s 20 times funnier to him because he can actually say “Peek-A-Boo” or more accurately, “Meee-Boo” as he holds his hands in front of his eyes.
He loves to do puzzles and read books, and is always asking for bubbles. We played with Play-doh (Lai-doo) this month for the first time, and bought some big giant crayons and some of those Color Wonder markers and paper. He liked them all, but they don’t hold his interest now like they will in a couple of months hopefully. (That Color Wonder stuff is nice- works great. If only the paper didn’t cost so much!)
