One book, from Mark
Sep 11
I’ve been tagged by Steve Cavanaugh. I did manage to stick with one book per question, you see. And, my answers are a lot more succinct than those long-winded ones of yours. Because, of course, I never give long-winded answers to anything.
1. One book that changed my life: ok, I’ll go with the obvious, The Bible
2. One book that I’ve read more than once: The Christian Mind, by Blamires
3. One book I’d want on a desert island: God in the Wasteland, by Wells (an appropriate title for the circumstance)
4. One book that made me laugh: The Art of the Biblical Narrative, by Alton
5. One book that made me cry: The Art of the Biblical Narrative, by Alton (do people really believe this stuff?)
6. One book that I wish I had written: No Place for Truth (Whatever Happened to Evangelical Theology), by Wells
7. One book I wish had never been written: Remonstrance, by Arminius
8. One book I am currently reading: Christ and the Media, by Muggeridge
9. One book I’ve been meaning to read: The Christian Mindset in a Secular Society, by Henry
Surely your’re not poking fun at Robert Alter’s book on biblical narrative, are you?
