I like the “kitchen dance” cover, have a great sense of art. IMHO by reading your interview, I can tell Maurie is a person that really like children.

I am familiar with her work. She reminds me a little bit if a guy named Peter Max from the 60s…maybe 70s. I’m not sure if anybody remembers him.

Randa, your first interview is a really interesting read! Maurie, thanks for taking the time to provide interesting, thoughtful and thought-provoking answers to Randa’s questions. It’s rare to see an interview with an illustrator where the interviewee provides such a detailed insight into how they got their start.

It’s sad and alarming when your industry becomes affected by economic change. This is most definitely when you have to evolve, and I hope the new avenues for your work (e.g. licensing) are fruitful.

Wow it is quite interesting in what the artists use for their illustrations. Using touchpad and touchscreens and all the like with quite advanced graphical programs, they can render designs just as advanced by pen or pencil.

Great illustrations Maurie! Good interview as well. I work as a commercial web designer and always envy great illustration. Its something which I regularly think, I’d love to learn how to do that!

I had seen many illustration pictures before, but none of them are as attractive and gorgeous as Maurie’s illustrations did!
