Business cards are great promotional piece. There are some very creative designs out there. The rule of thumb is that it takes person seeing your logo or business name 7 times to register it into longterm memory. So basically any professional way that you can name out in front of your audience the better off you will be.

I think it really depends on what your blog is about. But i also think that online promotion is much more important than offline. but hey, thats just my opinion.

PS. i really like you're comment editing style (post comment editing). Haven't seen it anywhere else!

I think business cards are over-rated for bloggers unless you're speaking of Hugh at Gaping Void, of course. :)

Bloggers could have business cards. It would be an identity for those of us who dont like to use avatars or photos of us.

Most important put your URL address for other to get more about your professionalism. Action speaks louder than talk.

I think business cards are great if you do a lot of networking outside of the internet. My only problem is I never carry them on me because I like to keep a thin wallet due to back problems from sitting on a wallet full of cards and stuff.

I have just got my first set of business cards printed. But it doesn't purports to my blogging, it's for my SEO consultancy. I need to think about blogging card too. May be.

Hi Randa, thanks for the thought provoking read.

If you travel around a lot, the best thing to carry and give out is a business card. It reflects who you are and gives people an idea of what you’re capable of doing in the event that your service (or content/instruction) is needed in the future. People see a lot of business cards though, so you’ll want to make sure your card is catchy and imaginative in order to help yours stand out from all the rest.
