Published April 3rd, 2008 in Asides.I just upgraded to WP 2.5 with the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin. SO MUCH EASIER than the old manual way. The new admin panel in WP 2.5 rocks.

Thanks for sharing this plugin for upgrading to WP 2.5. It will make my life easier to upgrade my blog.
Thanks for the heads up! I haven’t upgraded my own yet due to time, but this should fix that problem. Other than popularity contest plugin not working, have you had trouble with any of the other plugins?
No other problems with plugins. This auto upgrade thing really made all the difference for me in getting around to doing the upgrade. I usually procrastinate big time.
I hate upgrade for wordpress. Because i manuel upgrade 2 times and die my blog database :)…
This auto upgrade maybe good for me…
Thank you…
I have been dreading this upgrade as I have just upgraded 2.3.3 not too long ago (I know that you should upgrade nearly asap, but I am a sad procrastinator). Thanks for pointing us to the plugin as I know that it will come in handy, especially if you have multiple wordpress blogs.
Yep, this plugin will definitely come in handy. I’m there at WP dot org now downloading it and I hope it is as great as you make it sound. Thank you for the heads up!
NICE !!!!
This blog is full of things I always dream about. Getting updates is one of the most annoying things - I’ll check this out to see how it works and I hope it’s as good as mentioned.
Does it upgrade plugins or just themes? Thanks for the tool/resource/download.
Nice to know that there is such a plugin. I am quite limited concerning the wp version of my blog due to the older version of the mysql database of my hosting provider. But once I have moved to another host, the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin will be quite useful, I am sure.
Didn’t quite like the Admin panel in the first go as was used to the older interface. But one day into administration, and I agree - it rocks. Thanks WP!
Thanks for the link. Have installed it on my blog now and am now waiting for an update to test it! :p
I just upgraded from 2.04 to 2.51, and used this plugin. I was a little skeptical before hand, but pleasantly surprised afterwards as to how well things went. I had to manually reactivate my plugins, but that was the only glitch.
